Frequently asked questions

How do I get started?

Open inputIn (or install it on your home screen — see "How do I install the app?" below). Type something simple in the Chat Bot like "makan bakso 15rb" or "bayar listrik 450rb pake BCA" — our AI will parse it into a transaction. Tap Simpan and you're tracking.

No signup required to start. To sync across devices, go to Settings → Akun and register with your email.

How do I install the app on my phone?

iPhone / iPad (Safari): Tap the Share button (square with up arrow) → "Add to Home Screen" → Add.

Android (Chrome): Tap the three-dot menu → "Install app" or "Add to Home screen". Or download from the Play Store.

Once installed, inputIn opens full-screen like a native app and works offline.

How does the AI chat parser work?

Just type the way you'd say it — Indonesian or English. Examples that work:

  • "kopi 25rb" → expense, Food & Drink, Rp 25.000
  • "gaji bulanan 8jt" → income, Salary, Rp 8.000.000
  • "transfer BCA ke GoPay 200rb" → transfer between accounts
  • "makan 25rb, bensin 50rb, kopi 20rb" → multi-transaction in one go

You can also upload a receipt photo or PDF — tap the paperclip icon — and the AI will extract the line items.

I forgot my password — how do I log in?

inputIn doesn't use passwords. We use magic-link login: enter your email, we send a 6-digit code, you enter it. That's it.

If you can't find the code in your inbox, check Spam/Promotions. Codes expire after 15 minutes — you can request a new one anytime.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings → Data → Export all data and choose Excel (XLSX) or CSV. The file includes every transaction, account balance, category, goal, budget, and recurring entry.

Imports work the same way — pick the file under Import data.

What's the difference between Free, Pro, and Pro+?

Free: Manual transaction entry, basic dashboard, up to 2 budgets / 2 goals / 2 recurring entries, 3 AI chat parses per day.

Pro: Unlimited budgets/goals/recurring, 12 AI chat parses per day, Excel/CSV export.

Pro+: Everything in Pro, plus 20 AI chat parses per day, 6 receipt photo/file uploads per day, multi-currency, multi-device cloud sync, priority WhatsApp support.

Open Settings → Akun → Lihat Plans for the live pricing in your region.

I paid but my plan didn't upgrade. What now?

Payment confirmation usually arrives within 30 seconds. If it's been longer than 5 minutes:

  1. Refresh the app (Settings → Akun should show your new plan).
  2. If still Free, message us on WhatsApp with the payment receipt — we'll resolve it within a few hours.

If your payment failed, you have a 3-day grace period where Pro/Pro+ access stays active so you have time to retry.

How do I cancel my subscription?

inputIn uses one-time invoices, not auto-renewal — you only pay for the period you've already used. To stop paying, just don't renew when prompted. Your account stays active until your current period ends, then automatically reverts to Free.

If you subscribed via the iOS App Store or Google Play, cancel through your Apple ID / Play Store settings.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time Pro / Pro+ purchases, provided you haven't substantially used premium features (specifically: fewer than 5 AI Chat parses, no receipt OCR uploads, no XLSX exports). Quick steps: email [email protected] with your account email + payment receipt. We respond within 2 business days; approved refunds are processed in 7–14 business days through the original payment method.

Store subscriptions (App Store / Google Play) follow each store's refund policy — contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly for those.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Akun → Hapus Akun (Delete Account). After confirming, your account, transactions, budgets, goals, recurring entries, and cloud-synced data are all permanently deleted within 1 second.

Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion. This action cannot be undone.

My data isn't syncing across devices

Make sure you're signed in on both devices with the same email (Settings → Akun should show your email). Cloud sync requires Pro+ for multi-device.

If you are signed in: try Settings → Akun → Reload from cloud. If the issue persists, message us with a screenshot of Settings → Akun and we'll investigate.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check Settings → Notifications in the app and confirm the master toggle is on. On iOS/Android, also check your phone's Settings → Notifications → inputIn to make sure notifications are allowed at the OS level.

Daily reminders fire at 21:00 local time. Weekly summary fires Monday 21:00 local.

Is my financial data safe?

Yes. All connections use HTTPS encryption. Your data is stored on Cloudflare's edge infrastructure and is only accessible with your session token. We never sell or share data with advertisers. AI parsing uses Mistral (an EU-based provider) for receipt OCR and chat parsing — see our Privacy Policy for full details.

System status

Check api.inputin.app in your browser — if it returns a JSON response, the API is healthy. For Cloudflare-wide outages, see Cloudflare Status.

Reporting a bug or requesting a feature

Send us a WhatsApp message or email with as much detail as possible — what you were doing, what you expected, what happened instead, and screenshots if applicable. Including your device + browser/app version helps a lot:

Heads-up: We will never ask for your password, OTP code, or one-time login link. If anyone claims to be from inputIn and asks for these, ignore them — it's a scam.
